چکیده

With the global effort to reduce fossil fuels and use eco-friendly energy, interest in Li-ion batteries (LIBs) is rapidly increasing. In LIB system, separator an important component for determining rate performance safety of cells. Although polyolefin separators are commercially used LIBs, they still suffer from inferior electrolyte wettability low thermal stability issues. Here, we introduce a chemical surface modification polyethylene (PE) using poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) coating. The were pretreated tannic acid solution enforce adhesion coated layers. Then, PEEK was onto PE by doctor blading method. examined infrared spectroscopy, properties characterized uptake contact angle measurements. treated hydrophilic, ionic conductivity cell with modified significantly improved. As result, corresponding strategy proposed here can be applied polyolefin-based as well.

Local deformation behavior of surface porous polyether-ether-ketone.

Surface porous polyether-ether-ketone has the ability to maintain the tensile monotonic and cyclic strength necessary for many load bearing orthopedic applications while providing a surface that facilitates bone ingrowth; however, the relevant deformation behavior of the pore architecture in response to various loading conditions is not yet fully characterized or understood. The focus of this s...

A superconcentrated ether electrolyte for fast-charging Li-ion batteries.

We have found ultrafast Li(+) intercalation into graphite in a superconcentrated ether electrolyte, even exceeding that in a currently used commercial electrolyte. This discovery is an important breakthrough toward fast-charging Li-ion batteries far beyond present technologies.

Reconstruction of frontal bone using specific implant polyether-ether-ketone.

Defects on the craniofacial complex may result in aesthetic defects, functional damage, and psychologic consequences. Previously, surgeons showed no interest in reconstructing the operated area, but in the treatment of the problem, leaving bone contour is a secondary issue. Nowadays, area reconstruction with post-reestablishment of contour and local shape has become one of the surgeon's priorit...

Redox‐Active Separators for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

A bilayered cellulose-based separator design is presented that can enhance the electrochemical performance of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) via the inclusion of a porous redox-active layer. The proposed flexible redox-active separator consists of a mesoporous, insulating nanocellulose fiber layer that provides the necessary insulation between the electrodes and a porous, conductive, and redox-ac...
